The short version
You can browse every listing on this site without an account and without telling us anything about yourself. We do not build profiles of visitors, we do not sell anything about you, and we do not send marketing email.
What we collect, and only when you send it
- Suggesting an odd job. We keep the job name, category and description you write, plus your email address if you choose to give one. The email is only ever used to reply to you about that suggestion.
- Reporting a problem. We keep which listing you reported, what you told us, and your email address if you gave one, so we can follow up or thank you.
- Nothing else. There is no sign up, no newsletter, no advertising network on this site.
Saved shortlists and similar
Where the site remembers something for you, such as a search you were part way through, it is stored on your own device and never sent to us.
Other companies' sites
Every blueprint links out to platforms we do not run. Once you follow a link you are on their site, under their privacy policy, and we have no sight of what you do there. A small number of those links are affiliate or referral links, marked on the card, which tell the platform the visit came from us — nothing about you personally.
How long we keep things, and getting them removed
Suggestions and reports are kept while they are useful for maintaining the directory, and deleted when they are not. If you would like whatever you sent us removed, email info@oddjobdirectory.com and we will delete it. You are also entitled to ask what we hold about you, and to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how we handled it.
