Startup Cost: £0 Location: Remote/Home Difficulty: Easy Useful side income A few hours a week

Earning and time figures are our broad estimates, not guarantees — actual results depend on your area, your effort and demand.

Why it's left-field

Academic conference organizers pay you to click hundreds of video icons on virtual presentation posters to check for dead links.

How it works

  1. 1Apply to remote web administrative QA tasks on freelance portals.
  2. 2Open draft digital conference poster PDFs and test all embedded video and presentation links.
  3. 3Report broken media links or missing video permissions in a shared tracking sheet.
