Test promotional discount codes across online store checkout carts to verify that percentage discounts apply only above minimum spend thresholds.

Startup Cost: £0 Location: Remote/Home Difficulty: Easy Useful side income A few hours a week

Earning and time figures are our broad estimates, not guarantees — actual results depend on your area, your effort and demand.

Why it's left-field

E-commerce retailers pay you to test discount codes in online shopping carts to ensure a £10 coupon does not trigger on £5 orders.

How it works

  1. 1Apply to remote e-commerce quality assurance testing tasks on freelance platforms.
  2. 2Add test items to online shopping carts and apply promotional coupon codes across spend tiers.
  3. 3Report miscalculated discount totals or broken coupon triggers in a shared tracking sheet.
